Restore a Landscape

Native landscaping often begins with a notion. Perhaps you'd like to help heal the local environment. Maybe you tire of traditional landscaping and want something natural, enduring and ecologically sound. Or maybe you have always wanted to know what a prairie actually looks and feels like. Either way, let's work together to turn that notion into reality.

Native Landscaping, LLC works with you to design the native landscape that best fits your needs. A typical prairie installation usually follows these four steps:
  1. Create a Land Management Plan
  2. Prepare the site
  3. Seed the site
  4. Maintain the site

Step 1: Create a Land Management Plan
A Land Management Plan helps you organize, prioritize and set realistic goals. It can be a few or 25-50 pages long. We use many types of data when constructing a Land Management Plan.

The following example shows a sss3-D aerial photo, with soil units overlay, that helped determine seed selection for a site slated for restoration (in red).aerial photo
